The Summerlin Half Marathon begins and ends at the new Downtown Summerlin. Runners will travel north on Pavilion Center Drive for the first two and a half miles to Arbors Trail & Play Park and along Arbors Paseo trail. Exiting the trail at Tree Top Park, runners then travel downhill along Laurelglen, Acacia Tree, Anasazi and Town Center Drive.
Miles 5.5 through 9 have a mix of climbs and level areas taking runners through the Cottonwood Canyon Trails, north along the Western Beltway Trail and west toward Red Rock Canyon. Miles 7.5 though 9 will offer incredible views of the Las Vegas Valley with a great photo opportunity at the pedestrian bridge at Far Hills Drive.
After Mile 9 the final miles of the run are pretty much all downhill! Runners will travel through Summerlin’s newest neighborhood before crossing Charleston Blvd and continuing downhill to the finish line!
